Add exercise into that and you will lose, or you should! You just need to burn more than you eat. Make your calories count, too. Eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, and low calorie high density foods. Don't drink your calories! Get a calorie counter book that you can look up everything you eat in so you know just how much you are eating, and don't forget condiments like ranch and sauces. Before you start, track how many calories you are currently eating, and it will surprise you. I have done this 3 times after each baby, and am in the process of doing it after #4. It is harder and slower this time, (I am older) but it is coming off. Also, allow yourself some treats. As long as you are eating right 80% percent of the time, the other 20% doesn't have to be perfect. I allow myself treats on the weekend, because it seems that is when there are parties, dates, etc. But I don't go crazy. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12546443989710786941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3127011961368371155.post-32866158997238561392010-02-25T16:21:53.675-06:002010-02-25T16:21:53.675-06:00Uggg---I truly empathize. I've done weight watchers, south beach, fit for life, jullian andrews, belly fat diet, and a number of other things. I've never done diet pills, crazy unhealthy diets, or prepackaged food though. I don't have much else to offer.
Let me know if you discover any secrets. Weight Watchers is really supposed to be one of the best out there. It just wasn't working for me.Aprilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07349195906907835019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3127011961368371155.post-62430273446250573132010-02-25T12:34:47.554-06:002010-02-25T12:34:47.554-06:00Of all the things I've tried in the past, I li...Of all the things I've tried in the past, I like WW, because it trains you how to eat real food in the proper servings and variety. I figure if I did the programs where they send you the food, that if/when I went back to real food, I'd start gaining again. Of course, I've not been diligent about any program, and I HAVE to! I don't like going to the meetings, so I'm thinking I might sign up online.kath001https://www.blogger.com/profile/15419353146614030036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3127011961368371155.post-29692283817749037262010-02-24T13:14:05.690-06:002010-02-24T13:14:05.690-06:00By responding, I am in no means implying that I kn...By responding, I am in no means implying that I know anything. I'm just telling you the things that are different about my eating habits (aka "diet") than the average American.
In brief, I think I would say:
1. Focus on being healthy as opposed to a goal weight/size. Blood pressure, breathing, and increased energy levels are more important. And, of course, happiness. I know too many women who fixate on the weight loss and lose site of what is important and thus, become less than happy.
2. Don't be a Nazi. Portion awareness is probably better than avoidance (although, being allergic to chocolate certainly helps to say no to a LOT of sweets). Drink more water and loose the desire for juices/kool-aid/soda.
3. Have your husband write encouraging words on your mirror so you have that to uplift and motivate you. You can do it for yourself, but when you know your spouse is behind you, you can accomplish more and for longer periods of time.
Hope that helps!Boyd Boxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18137908536538797383noreply@blogger.com
