Grocery Shop Efficiently

Try and shop at the same store each time you go shopping. By doing this you will become very familiar with the store and where the items you buy most are located. This saves time while shopping. The other way to save time is by creating a grocery shopping list that is in the order of the store layout. We all have patterns when we go shopping so make our lists in order of your pattern. If you usually get produce first then have the produced grouped together at the top. Group the items together that are in the same aisle and location of the store. This will help you shop more efficiently.

What are some other ways you shop more efficiently?

  1. I love your blog and like how reader-friendly it is (some are so busy they hurt my head). I study blogs for a cooking software company and one of the happy parts of this assignment is finding great sites like yours. I am so glad I found this! I'm going to sound like an infomercial here, but one of the best things I've done lately that's helped me shop more efficiently is try out this company's product. It’s saved me so much time and money already! Since you asked for ideas, I wanted to tell you about their recipe organizer . It creates menus and grocery lists off the menus. I can even type in the ingredients I have in my cupboards, pantry, fridge and freezer and it'll come up with boatloads of recipes I can make with those ingredients--really helpful when I can't go to the store. Anyway, now I can find what I need, when I need it, without having to scour through tons of recipes and books! (I’ve included the link in case you are interested.) Lastly, thanks so much for a great blog—I love your information! (I'm LDS as well, and so are the folks that make this software. Their 1st product years ago was software to organize and make our food storage more useful.)
